Surrogacy for single men
Single men who wish to carry out a surrogacy process can do so in different countries. In all cases, it is highly recommended or even mandatory that they provide their genetic material. The most common options are the following:
Colombia and Mexico
In Colombia and in some Mexican states, surrogacy is legal for all single men who wish to carry out a surrogacy procedure.
Czech Republic
In the Czech Republic surrogacy is not legalized but it is allowed, and more and more single men are opting for this country thanks to its proximity and membership in the European Community.
USA
In certain states in the United States, surrogacy is fully regulated and available without any limitations for single men.
Argentina
In Argentina, also those single men who wish to do so and reach an agreement with the gestational carrier, without any profit motive on the part of the gestational carrier, will be able to undergo a process.
Ukraine and Georgia
Georgia, like Ukraine, is also not an option for gay couples, as one of the requirements is to be a heterosexual couple whose woman is unable to carry a healthy pregnancy to term.
Greece
In Greece, single men will not be able to carry out a surrogacy procedure, as the requirement is to be a woman of no more than 50 years of age and unable to gestate.
Surrogacy for single women
Single women also have several options for surrogacy. It should be borne in mind that at least in Spain, the process of filiation of the child will be slower.
Colombia and Mexico
Both in Colombia and in some Mexican states, such as Cancun and Mexico City, single women can carry out a surrogacy process.
Argentina
In Argentina, single women who need it, can carry out a surrogacy process, as long as they reach a non-commercial agreement with the surrogate mother.

In some US states, such as California and Illinois, surrogacy is available to all women who want it.
Greece
In Greece, all women who are up to 50 years old, are registered temporarily or permanently in Greece, and have a medical report detailing their reproductive incapacity, can carry out a surrogacy procedure. It is important to bear in mind that the process can only be carried out altruistically.
Czech Republic
In the Czech Republic, unmarried women will not be able to undergo a procedure, mainly because there must be a male who contributes his genetic material and to whom the newborn is registered.
Ukraine and Georgia
In both Ukraine and Georgia, surrogacy is only legal for married or heterosexual couples.
